Summer Fun for the Kids

The long summer holidays are approaching and parents everywhere are steeling themselves for 6 weeks of chaos with the kids at home.

This year could be different though. Findtree, the genealogy specialist, is encouraging children to research their own family trees with a little help from the internet.

Sarah Halton of Findtree, explains how the project can engage children’s imaginations and provide them with a fun activity for the summer months:

Girls, boys and TV Pop Stars just want to have fun at Thorpe Park!

TV Pop Stars, free runners and even PlayStation will be giving visitors to Thorpe Park an extra dose of fun this summer. Not content with having the fastest ride in Europe*, ‘The Campaign For Real Fun’ at Thorpe Park will be banishing boredom from 4th August – 2nd September.

Fun to a funky beat!

CiTV stars Bel’s Boys will be getting feet tapping and bodies moving from 26th-27th August, with performances to keep fun levels rising and music in the air!

The innocent village fête

4th – 5th August 2007

11am – 7pm

Remember sitting on the grass sipping home-made lemonade and tucking into a slice of Victoria sponge on a warm summer’s day? Remember trying to guess the weight of that huge marrow? We bet you can even remember the brass band playing in the background.

Summer just wouldn’t be the same without a fete on the village green. So this year we’ve decided to hold our very own fête, the innocent village fete, right in the heart of London, in Regent’s Park on 4th and 5th August.
